We're On Our Way!

After a 24-hour delay, we were finally on our way to Argentina. No
problems, no delays. Our local tour operator in Argentina (more
information on them in a future post - want to give you a full report
all at once) was able to reschedule our flights from Buenos Aires
into Iguazu Falls with no problem. So we arrived into Buenos Aires
today at about 11:30AM, transferred to the domestic airport near
downtown, then flew out again to Iguazu Falls at 4:30PM. This can be
done in a single day as we did, though if you opt for this land
option, I'd suggest you spend 2 nights in Iguazu Falls instead of just one.

We've arrived at the Sheraton Iguazu Falls, the only hotel with a
view of the Falls... and what a view it is! Pictures will be
downloaded and added in the next couple days so you can see the view
from the "Falls View" rooms. Convenient, perfectly acceptable, but
they're definitely selling the view. This is a standard 3 Star type
hotel at a 5 Star price. There are other, less expensive options in
Iguazu itself, but this is the only hotel within the park, and there
are advantages to staying here with regard to access as well as the views.

We're off early tomorrow morning with new friends met in the airport
to explore the park. Then off to Buenos Aires tomorrow night for our
last pre-cruise night, and off to the ship! More details to come,
along with pictures. Right now it's rush, rush, rush to get things
in with the shortened pre-cruise stay, but you know the goodies will
be forthcoming soon. More tomorrow with my impressions of the Falls
in person, the must-dos, and back to Buenos Aires for the evening.
