I'd held off posting this Happy Hour as I was hoping that Celebrity was just delayed in releasing their Happy Hour Specials for this week. However, it appears there won't be any, so we just have Royal Caribbean. Fortunately, there's an abundance there!

Shorter cruises starting at $179/person to 7-nt from $309/person, 10-nt Mediterranean from $449/person (no, that's not a mis-print!), and 12-nt Southern Caribbean from Bayonne at $749/person for an inside or only $1,249/person in a balcony!

More Terrific Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Happy Hours

It's the time of year where I really love posting Happy Hours, as there are usually amazing values offered. This week is no exception.

For Royal Caribbean, of particular note is a 9-Nt Canada-New England sailing on 10/1, which should be fabulous for color, with a balcony at only $849/person AND a reduced supplement for solos!

If you are looking for 7-nt Caribbean, there are several Freedom of the Seas sailings starting at $549/person.

West coast? Mariner of the Seas 7-nighters are here too starting at $339/person and reduced single supplements. However, on the 9/27 sailing, along with the 11/8, 11/15/AND 11/29 sailings, I have some cabins at $299/person, and that's not even a Happy Hour rate, so that can be booked any time!

Want something shorter? While east coasters are used to having lots of good deals on short sailings, finally the West Coast is getting some Happy Hour love, too! How about Radiance of the Seas 4-night Mexican Riviera starting at $179/person? Amazing!

Finally on the Royal Caribbean side is a 13-Nt San Diego to Miami Panama Canal sailing which is the lowest I think I've ever seen for a full transit starting at $849/person, and there's a reduced single supplement on that one, too!

Since it's the week that Azamara has its Deluxe Deals, we have 3 sets of Happy Hours this week!

Headlining the offers are two Celebrity sailings. The October 12 11-night Wine Cruise on the Mercury from Vancouver starts at only $599/person for an inside cabin! And there's even a reduced single supplement on this one!

Also an exceptional value is the 17-night Panama Canal sailing on the Mercury departing San Diego on 10/23. Insides starting at only $799/person and Oceanviews at $899, plus a reduced single supplement! If you're looking for a longer getaway this fall, these two are truly special deals.

On Royal Caribbean, we see the return of 7-night deals out of Miami. Missed the postings of Happy Hours while I was away? Well, they're back from Royal Caribbean, Celebrity AND Azamara!

Royal Caribbean this week has a wide variety of offers, with the emphasis on 4-5 night sailings. However, there are some Canada/New England, 7-night Caribbean and even Hawaii or Mediterranean/Holy Land sailings in there. Good options!

Most notable this week, however, is Celebrity's Mercury sailing from Baltimore. If you weren't paying attention, you might have missed the fact that the Mercury will be sailing from Baltimore! Celebrity decided to start their own celebration a little early, and have announced that their Happy Hour specials for next week start NOW! Beginning at midnight Eastern on Friday, July 3, they have 3 Alaska Happy Hour specials! Even though they misspelled "Hubbard" Glacier, these are still wonderful cruises.

You can't put off booking Alaska much longer. These deals can get you there!

For some reason, Celebrity hasn't yet released their Happy Hour specials for next week. I'd held off posting the specials as I hoped they'd rectify it this weekend, but no luck so far. This happens occasionally, but not sure what it means this week. Usually, if they're not running any specials, they announce that, but haven't yet seen anything. It's possible the IT people just forgot to post the specials before the weekend. In any event, if they become available later, I'll post again then.

We're Back! And terrific news from Azamara!

Sorry for the long absence of this blog. People have been calling to see if I've been traveling. Alas, no, but I'm glad to say that things have just been extremely busy here, both personally and professionally, so unfortunately this was one area which suffered a bit. But I've found a way to carve out a bit more time, so we're here again!

The Happy Hour Specials will be returning this weekend, but there will be a new addition to the list - Azamara Deluxe Deals! These will only occur bi-weekly, but are the long-awaited equivalent to the Celebrity Xciting Deals and Royal Caribbean Sales Event savings, both commonly called the Happy Hours. I'm excited to see this, as the Azamara fares for this summer are already fantastic, and these should be truly remarkable. Watch for these on Saturday or Sunday!

In the meantime, hope you didn't miss the opening of the sales for the new Norwegian Epic. Most dates for the inaugural season are still open, but many categories are getting limited on the popular dates, and there are even a few fare increases. Sorry this is late this week. Oddly enough, from a Celebrity ship, I was unable to access the Royal Caribbean Happy Hour .pdf. Go figure!

A bit smaller collection of sailings this week, but don't be surprised if there's another one coming out. Royal Caribbean has this habit of announcing a special "Thanksgiving" Happy Hour in addition to their regular one. Haven't seen anything about it yet, but it may happen.

Thanksgiving is why you're only seeing Royal Caribbean's offer right now; Celebrity is running a "Post-Thanksgiving" (thank you Celebrity for not making me work on Thanksgiving this year) Happy Hour Weekend. This is a big one! Because those offers require re-typing, and because I just got back into the office and am predictably crazy busy, I'll get those posted hopefully late today.

I'd held off posting this week's Happy Hour specials as Celebrity hadn't released anything yet... not have they said they won't be having any Happy Hours. But I didn't want to hold off any longer. If Celebrity releases specials later, I'll add those with another post.

Another big Happy Hour this week for Royal Caribbean, for sale on November 18. Because I will be flying in the middle of the day out to Ft. Lauderdale for Solstice preview and charter sailings, best bet if you're interested is to contact me prior to the 18th so I can get your booking taken care of before I leave. I will, however, of course have internet access while I'm gone (except, of course, on the flight itself).

You know the drill - prices good on Tuesday, November 18 only, new bookings only, and many have reduced single supplements as well:

TGIHH - Thank Goodness It's Happy Hour!

Happy Hour announcements from Celebrity and Royal Caribbean came out a bit early this week, and we've got some doozies for next week!

As a reminder, Happy Hour specials (also called Xciting Deals and Sales Events) are limited-time specials put out by Celebrity and Royal Caribbean, usually for close-in sailings. While traditionally they are for reservations made on Tuesdays, that rule of thumb is often broken, such as next week with Celebrity.

Celebrity is continuing their 2nd Passenger 50% Off specials next week, with a huge offering of mostly exotic sailings. But exotic doesn't necessarily mean far-flung, as there are Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal sailings in there. These are mostly longer sailings, but the fares are truly astounding. There are even Christmas and New Years sailings in there!

Solos, they didn't forget you. While the official name is 50% off Second Passenger, look closely - they are also offering reduced single supplements as low as 125% of the first passenger fare, and nothing on the sale is over 150%! Looks like they're getting the message, too!

Royal Caribbean's offers are a bit more traditional, for sale only on Tuesday, November 11. Typical offerings in there, mostly shorter sailings, but some 7-night and longer, including exotics. Even some holiday and some very nice reduced single supplements, too!

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Week-Long Happy Hours!

Week-long Happy Hours aren't anything new for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. After all, that's what Celebrity has done the past two weeks. What is unusual this week is that not only is Celebrity continuing their 50% off second passenger Happy Hours (new sailings for next week), but Royal Caribbean's week-long event features Holiday sailings, which are rarely put on Happy Hour, and almost never this early while you still have a chance to obtain semi-decent airfare.

The fares are for both Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year's sailings, which are typically some of the most expensive time periods of the year. In addition to traditional 7-night sailings, there are also some shorter or longer offerings as well.

These are bound to prove quite popular, so let me know if you're interested in any of the offers! While this is a sign of economic fears, it's also your chance to give your family a holiday vacation you didn't anticipate. What a great gift!

September 9 Happy Hour Fares

If it is Thursday, it must be time for the Happy Hours for next week to come out!

Here are the specials from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, valid only on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Call me for more information or to take advantage of these specials!

However, if you're looking at Royal Caribbean for the rest of the year, remember also that for bookings made between now and Sunday, September 7, all new bookings will give you two new Royal Caribbean robes!

Celebrity and Royal Caribbean Happy Hours!

Since my newsletters are a bit missing right now until I can find a new marketing assistant, I've been at a loss on how to get you the information on such things as the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Happy Hours. A regular reader of this blog and my newsletters suggested I upload them and post them here. What a great idea!

So when I'm in town, each week either late on Thursdays or on Fridays, I'll post the next week's Happy Hour specials!

For my solo occupancy readers, do know that the prices listed are double occupancy. But scroll down on the sailing in which you're interested, and at the bottom, it lists the applicable single supplement. For example, on this week's Royal Caribbean Happy Hour, the Legend of the Seas' 13-night sailing on 10/5 is at a 150% supplement! You match the reduced supplements with the lowered fares, and it's often a terrific combination.

Do know that the prices listed are for cruise fare and port charges. Taxes and fuel supplement are still additional.

Hopefully this will work to get the information out to you each week in a timely manner, and we'll figure out a way to get the newsletter back with all the specials. But continue to watch here for other specials, both for double and single occupancy.
