Oasis/Allure of the Seas 1-Day Sale!

Oasis is here! She's arrived at her home port in Ft. Lauderdale, and the first of the preview sailings begin on November 19. This ship will change the face of cruising, and whether you're a large ship fan or small ship lover, if you love cruising, you'll want to know what this means to you, because everyone WILL be talking about her... they already are.

On November 20, be sure to watch Good Morning America, which will be broadcasting LIVE from the ship! Like what you see? Royal Caribbean is so sure you will that they're holding a One Day Sale on November 20 for December, 2009 sailings on the Oasis of the Seas or any Allure of the Seas sailings! Get terrific fares PLUS up to $200/cabin onboard credits!

I'll be boarding the Oasis of the Seas on November 20 for 4 days, and of course reporting LIVE via blog and Twitter (including pictures!) at www.twitter.com/cruiseresource. Want to book during the one day sale? You bet I can take care of it even from the Oasis on the 20th (or before I board while watching her from my hotel in Ft. Lauderdale). Have a question about the ship? Email me at amber@cruiseresource.com and I'll get you the answer live (plus book you the cabin you want). How cool is that?

For more details on the one day sale, go to the flyer at Oasis/Allure November 20 One Day Sale.

Be sure to email or tweet me while I'm onboard November 20-24. I'm your eyes and ears and onboard reporter. Expect my full review here as well, parts of it coming while I'm still onboard. You know it will make for a nice, long read.

It's Time to Twitter

Have you started following me on Twitter yet? If not, it's time!

I know that Twitter can seem like it's just for kids or celebrities who have the presumption that everyone in the world wants to know every minutiae of their life. But it's evolving into so much more than that.

For example, it allows for a quick way to get out information on breaking news stories. If you were watching me on Twitter this morning, you would have read an article where NCL's CEO talks about indications cruise fares may be heading up again. While I could re-write that as an editorial for here, it's a tidbit that is more easily communicated in a shorter, more concise format. Hence, I tweeted it for everyone.

While a lot, probably a majority, of Twitter users access it from handheld devices such as smart phones, you can access it and follow your favorites from your computer as well. You can just go to the address of the person you wish to follow (www.twitter.com/whomever), or use a free program such as TweetDeck (www.tweetdeck.com) to follow multiple people, even get updates on news, sports and weather! It stays on your desktop and alerts to you new posts from those you're following.

Why am I encouraging you to follow me on Twitter? Next month, I'll be doing another of my "Live From" series of cruise reviews, this time from Italy, but because of the port-intensive nature of the cruise I'll be on, and other time constraints, I'm going to make use of Twitter for a majority of the updates, including pictures! While a few of the posts will be made here, if you want to follow me while I show a different aspect to cruising, you'll want to do so on Twitter. You can even ask me questions while I'm there!

So start checking it out now. You can follow me at www.twitter.com/cruiseresource or @cruiseresource on Twitter. I look forward to tweeting with you!
