Royal Caribbean Keeps Bringing the WOW... Sale!

If it's October, there must be a WOW sale coming up, and once again Royal Caribbean doesn't disappoint. On October 6 and 7, the fall, 2009 WOW sale will do its best to get you on a cruise!

For those unfamiliar with these sales, the essence is that if you book during the sale, you get a 50% reduced deposit and onboard credits up to $200/cabin. This is for new bookings only, for almost all cruises sailing from December 1 forward, and is not combinable with any other promotion, such as Crown & Anchor balcony/suite discounts or shareholder credits. While I used to be able to sneak these WOW bookings in and still get the benefits combined, unfortunately they've cracked down and catch the attempts.

However, if you're not eligible for the Crown & Anchor Platinum or Diamond discounts, and aren't a shareholder, this is a great opportunity. Prices are terrific now through 2010, even on the Oasis. Yup, I said Oasis! This is the first WOW sale which includes the Oasis, though dates between January 1 and March 31, 2010 are excluded. But there are some fabulous prices for next summer on the Oasis.

Part 2 - Norwegian Freestyle Resolution Savings Event - Reduced Deposits!

Beginning today, Sunday January 11, and running through Saturday, January 17, NCL is offering reduced deposits for new bookings! This is in addition to the previously-announced Freestyle resolution Savings Event offers of onboard credits for all new bookings!

The 50 percent reduced deposit offer makes a cruise deposit on a three to five day sailing just $50; cruises from six to nine days can be held for $125 and guests booking cruises of ten days or more pay a $200 deposit, down from $400.

“We understand that everyone needs a break from these turbulent times and cruising offers incredible value for today’s consumer,” said Kevin Sheehan, NCL’s president and CEO. “These offers, with as little as a $50 deposit and up to $500 in on-board credit, make it the perfect time to book a Freestyle Cruising summer vacation to explore Alaska, relax in Bermuda or take the kids on a vacation of a lifetime to uncover the rich history of Europe.”

In mid-December, NCL kicked off its Freestyle Resolution Sales Event where guests who make a reservation from now through February 1, 2009 on any NCL sailing are given up to a $500 on-board credit. The amount of the on-board credit varies depending on the length of cruise and category of stateroom booked. For example, on sailings of six days or longer, the on-board credit ranges from $50 for an inside stateroom; $100 for an oceanview; $150 for a balcony and $500 for a suite or villa. For three to five day sailings, the on-board credit ranges from $30 for an inside stateroom up to $150 for a suite or villa.

The reduced deposit offer is applicable for Inside, Oceanview, Balcony, Mini-Suite, Penthouse and Romance Suites. Unfortunately, it does not apply to Garden Villas, Courtyard Villas and Owner's Suites.

Royal Caribbean, Celebrity & Azamara Want YOU!

In an unusual move, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara are giving you advance notice of their "wave" season offers for cruises booked in January and February. They're calling this the ASAP Promotion - Amazing Ships, Amazing Perks!

First up is from Royal Caribbean. They're offering 50% reduced deposit AND onboard credits between $50-200/cabin on a huge number of 2009 and even 2010 sailings. You can find all the details at RCCL ASAP Sale.

Celebrity and Azamara are on the ASAP bandwagon too! Both are also offering 50% reduced deposit and up to $200/cabin onboard credit. Azamara sweetens it even further by including pre-paid gratuities, too! Below are the specific flyers for Celebrity and Azamara:

A few interesting idiosyncrasies to take note of: the onboard credit (and pre-paid gratuity) offers must be booked between January 5 and January 19, 2009. However, all bookings January 1 through February 28 are eligible for the reduced deposits. So if the sailing you're looking at is on the flyer for onboard credits, best to book between January 5-19. If it's not, you can still get the reduced deposit by booking as early as January 1.

Finally... been thinking of getting a group together for a family get-away, work retreat, or other social or religious organization gathering? All three lines are offering easier access to free berths for the organizer or to share among all participants. Call me for details!

NCL One (and a half) Day Sale

NCL has just given me notice of a one-day "sale" for Thursday, November 20. The reason I say "sale" is that it's not so much a fare reduction type sale as it is a deposit reduction. All new bookings made on November 20 will have a 50% reduction in the deposit!

This is nice if you've been looking to book NCL and waiting for one of their promotions, but not one of their richer offers. No onboard credits, no reduced fares, etc. But, if you don't want to wait, it's a good offer and definitely keeps more $$$ in your pockets for the holiday.

Why do I say "and a half" on the one day sale? That's because I have a preview day today as well! Bookings made today, Sunday, are also eligible. So if you want more details, give me a call or email me!
